According to GM Authority, Canyon AT4X production will start on April 10th, 2023. It's the same day as the start of Colorado ZR2 production.
GM pulled back the cover on the 2023 GMC Canyon in mid-August 2022, heralding the launch of the midsize truck’s third generation. Now, GM Authority has learned when production of the GMC Canyon AT4X trim is scheduled to begin.
Production of the 2023 GMC Canyon‘s Elevation, AT4 and Denali trim levels is already under way, having launched with some fanfare on January 24th, 2023. However, the GMC Canyon AT4X, a new trim level of the truck that is focused on off-road capability, did not start production at the same time.
GMC Canyon AT4X production will start on April 10th, 2023 according to the information obtained by GM Authority, where previously only a spring 2023 production date was known. April 10th is the same date for start of regular production (SORP) as the similar 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2.
As with the third-generation 2023 GMC Canyon trims already rolling off the assembly line, production of the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X will take place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri. The Wentzville plant is the same facility that produces the Chevy Colorado, the Chevy Express, and the GMC Savana.
