Hi everyone!

New to the forum and just placed an order for a Volcanic Red AT4X on Monday! I kept it pretty "stock" as far as accessories and only included the option LED lights on the tailgate. Dealership told me it would be 5-6 months for delivery. Couple questions:

1. Have you guys noticed the description on the GMC site says the rear bumper is body matched, yet every AT4X I see around the country has its back bumper in gloss black regardless of body color?
2. For those who have already taken delivery, are you able to have the Kicker audio system with the option LED lights? I asked my dealer to make sure I could have both, but hard to find anything online.

Thanks all and I look forward to being apart of this community.

P.S. - this is my first time owning a truck...

Congratulations @FirstTimeTruckOwner on ordering your new AT4X and welcome to the forum! What sold you on the Sierra compared to other trucks for your first one?

Honestly...it was the "ruggedness" combined with "luxury" that sold me. I've always liked the look of aggressive trucks with a bit of a lift and wide stance. The Raptor caught my eye a few years back and more recently the TRX, however, if I wanted something with power, I'd go for a sports car. To me the AT4X is kind of the best of both worlds. It's a great looking truck and when you get inside it feels like you're in a luxury vehicle.
Welcome to the forum @FirstTimeTruckOwner

I think what you saw were AEV Edition models like this but I could be wrong. Regular models like yours should have body colored bumpers. it's what I have seen with non-AEV versions.

That was my initial thought and what caused confusion. If you look at the 2022 AT4X models, all of them come with the body matched front and rear bumper; it's the same bumper that comes "standard" on the AT4. Then when I built my 2023 online, the only option it gave me was the AEV edition front bumper, even though I did NOT select the AEV package. I spoke with GM Customer Service about this and they told me that as of October 2022, all 2023 AT4X models come standard with the AEV front bumper whether you choose the AEV package or not. I also did an inventory search around the country and from what I saw, most of the standard AT4X models (without the AEV package) have the AEV front bumper.

I agree with you about the looks, the Sierra has a great presence to it without being as over the top as the Raptor or TRX. You shouldn't be disappointed in your decision. Do you plan on doing any off-roading at all?

I think GMC made the smart move making the AEV bumper standard on the AT4X so it sets it apart from the AT4. Since this is my first truck, I have zero experience with doing any kind of off-roading, however, since I now have something that is off-road capable, I say why not lol. I don't think I'd do anything crazy, but I'd love to get it muddy. Just need to find some place to do that around where I live.
